Over the course of 2014/2015 I worked on several issues of a popular local paper. My role was most often final production to print (covering holidays, sick days etc.). I would prepare advertorials, collate ads, copy and layout materials and produce the final copy of the paper. This would go to both print and web.
Additional tasks included creation of ads on a very tight turnaround, editing of existing ads, some layout, covers, wraparounds and banners. Below are several examples of that work, including some that may have been received from an external agency and reworked in-house by me, at the client or paper's request, just before print.
